Crusing the river.
Nothing is better then getting out with a few jets and crusing the beautiful North Saskatchewan River. We run from the Saskatchewan border all the way to Rocky Mountain house. The River changed drastically in scenery. Out west the steep rocky river banks with rapids to splash through. The further you head east the water conditions change along with the terrian. Once you are east of Edmonton the bottom of the river starts to get more sandy. With rolling hills along the banks, which make for great camping spots along the river. Just north east of St Paul, there is a 30 000 acre provincial grazing lease on the north bank, it holds tons of wild life. From black bear, elk, deer and even wolves have been spotted this far east. The North Saskatchewan River offers so many opportunities to enjoy, from jet boating, canoeing, camping, swimming, hunting and our favourite sturgeon fishing. Get out and explore Alberta with Lunker's Fishing Adventures, your all inclusive fishing outfitter in Alberta.

Sturgeon fishing the North Saskatchewan River.
Cory was feeling a little under the weather for the first part of the trip, as this was part of Blake's bachelor party. It was no loner than 1 hour into there fishing trip when Cory's rod bent right over. We knew we had a good sturgeon on right away. His fish managed to give up an impressive show jumping multiple times. We managed to land this great fish, once we released him it was only 30 min longer and we hooked into another sturgeon! The could not have gone any better. Lunker's Fishing Adventures your full time fishing outfitter Alberta, Canada.
